I’m thrilled to share the exciting news that “How Do I Sexy? A Guide for Trans and Nonbinary Queers” is the 2024 Gold Winner for LGBTQ+ Nonfiction in the Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards! I’m still flabbergasted. I never would have thought I’d be a finalist for something like this, let alone win, and I’m so immensely grateful to everybody who was there for me throughout writing, editing, promoting, touring, and speaking for the book over the past three years.
Thank you to Eve Rickert, Andrea Zanin, Hazel Boydell, and Heather van der Hoop, at Thornapple Press for believing in me, and investing so much of their time and resources into helping me develop as a writer, and to deliver the best possible book that I could. And thank you to everyone who contributed their own experiences and perspectives within the book as well: Andrew Gurza, Georgina “Gigi” Kiersten, Jiz Lee, Kevin A. Patterson, Mx. Praxis Phanes, Chelsea Poe, Ignacio G. Hutía Xeiti Rivera, Kate Sloan, Kelvin Sparks, Courtney Trouble, and Vanniall.

My next book, “Carry On: Unpacking Your Internalized Transphobic and Queerphobic Baggage,” is currently in the editing stages and will be ready for pre-order this upcoming Fall season! I’m looking to do a cover reveal here within the next couple of months too. My partner Fen designed it, it’s really awesome, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it!
Keep an eye out here for all of this and more! I’ll be back with some announcements about upcoming workshops, speaking gigs, appearances, and projects for 2025/2026.
